MSc Justyna Wronka is a post-graduate student and laboratory volunteer supervised by dr Klaudia Dębiec-Andrzejewska. Her research focuses on the mechanisms of metal complexation by bacterial siderophores, particularly in relation to micronutrients essential for plant growth. She investigates how siderophores and biosurfactants can enhance the efficiency of foliar fertilisation by improving micronutrient availability and uptake. She conducts her research in collaboration with prof. Michela Schiavon and dr Silvia Celletti from the University of Turin, integrating biochemical, physiological and microbiological approaches. Her work contributes to the development of biologically driven, more sustainable fertilisation strategies that support crop nutrition and resilience.
