The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) has announced the results of the second call (1/2025) under the TEAM NET programme, funded by the European Funds for a Modern Economy (FENG) programme. The initiative supports projects in strategic sectors, including solutions for agriculture and the circular economy, as well as research related to human and animal health.
Among the eight projects selected for funding is BIOGLOBE, carried out by a consortium led by the University of Warsaw. The project’s principal investigator is Prof. Łukasz Drewniak from our team. The project has received PLN 12 577 343.04 in funding.
The BIOGLOBE project aims to develop biological solutions to support soil health under conditions of intensive agricultural production. The research team will focus on microbiological approaches that may mitigate the long-term impacts of herbicide use, help restore microbial balance in soils, and enhance plant resilience to environmental stress.
We warmly congratulate our researchers on receiving this prestigious funding and wish them every success in the implementation of their research project!
