Ministry of Science and Higher Education Honors Our Researchers for Outstanding Implementation Achievements

On 20 February, the Polish Science Gala was held at the Polish Theatre in Warsaw with the participation of Minister Marcin Kulasek to mark Polish Science Day. During the ceremony, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education honored outstanding researchers in five categories: lifetime achievement, scientific, teaching, implementation, and organizational activity.

In the implementation category, the award went to members of our team, led by Dr Klaudia Dębiec-Andrzejewska, with Prof. Łukasz Drewniak, Dr Namrata Joshi, Marcin Musiałowski and Maria Dąbrowska-Zawada. They were recognized for developing and commercializing innovative microbiological products based on secondary metabolites and beneficial microorganisms that support plant growth, protect against phytopathogens, and degrade petroleum-derived pollutants. The products, created within the LIDER (NCBR) and Team Net (FNP) projects, have reached full technological readiness (TRL 9) and are available on the market through the University of Warsaw and the spin-off company BHUMI Sp. z o.o.
