A new article titled “A novel two-step metabarcoding approach improves soil microbiome biodiversity assessment” has been published in Scientific Reports as part of the LIDER program (NCBR) led by Dr Klaudia Dębiec-Andrzejewska. The study was authored by Marcin Musiałowski, Monika Mierzwa-Hersztek, Krzysztof Gondek, and Klaudia Dębiec-Andrzejewska, in collaboration between the University of Warsaw and the University of Agriculture in Krakow.

The paper introduces an improved metabarcoding workflow that enhances the precision of soil microbiome biodiversity assessment, providing a reliable and cost-effective alternative to metagenomic approaches.
