MSc Inga Suchodolska

PhD student under the supervision of Dr hab. Łucja Kowalewska and Dr Klaudia Dębiec-Andrzejewska. During her PhD studies, she focuses on the interactions between organic compounds and bacterial metabolites, including biosurfactants, siderophores and osmoprotectants, in order to enhance the efficiency of herbicide biodegradation in soil ecosystems. The principal objective of this study is to develop an advanced bio-based formulation that facilitates the microbial degradation of herbicides while simultaneously mitigating the adverse environmental consequences associated with their application.

Scientific interests
  • Microbial metabolites
  • Upscaling siderophore production
  • Sustainable strategies for herbicide degradation
  • Environmental microbiology
