TeamNet BIOGLOBE Kick-off Meeting

The BIOGLOBE project has officially begun. The kick-off meeting, held at the Faculty Council Hall of the University of Warsaw Faculty of Biology, brought together partners and researchers involved in the initiative implemented under the Team NET FENG programme of the Foundation for Polish Science.

The consortium includes Project Leader Katarzyna Sienkiewicz, Principal Investigator Łukasz Drewniak, Technology Broker Konrad Zawadzki, as well as partner teams led by Anna Gałązka from Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – State Research Institute and Łukasz Chrzanowski from Poznań University of Technology.

During the meeting, participants discussed the project’s scientific objectives, implementation strategy, and pathways for translating research results into practical environmental solutions.

BIOGLOBE aims to develop, validate, and implement two innovative products designed for the biological restoration of agricultural soils contaminated with herbicides. The project combines expertise from multiple scientific disciplines with a strong focus on environmental impact and real-world application.

The launch meeting was marked by enthusiastic discussions, shared ambition, and a strong commitment to delivering sustainable solutions that can benefit both the environment and society.
